The Making of Humongous Street Art!

I see this kind of art diving up everywhere in various cities spread across different countries. These huge paintings covering one entire wall of a building. The one more beautiful than the other. Still I always wondered how they would be making such art, which is exactly what this video prevails.

Continue to make such art, it lightens up even the worse parts of a city and they continue to make my day each time I see one.

Animated Light Photography, WOW!!

It’s been far too long since something has been posted. It is wrong to see life itself generate an absence of creativity and freedom. Still sometimes priorities must be formulated with extraordinary measures. Just to signal that I am still alive and running I post this video of Freezelight.

I have taken a keen interest in light photography lately and a friend of mine mentioned that animated light photography would be a wicked trend to start. With some thorough searching it appeared there are few videos out there. We stumbled upon a Russian company that have truly taken Light Photography to a another level. Using tens of cameras and people to make their light animation they create the most interesting videos to look at. Not only that, but they show you what equipment they are using and how they use it to make what they make.

All their videos are worth watching and above all try it out for yourself! All you need is a dark place, a camera with long shutter speed and one or more lights. Have some fun guys, and check out the things that Freezelight make, because other than videos they create the most exuberant photos too!

Please do not hesitate to send me some links or things that you have created with light photography, because I am really interested in seeing what people created!

From the Inside

Tangled inside a rapidly growing mechanism

Three days have passed like weeks

But have gone like the swift of a broom

People come and go

Yet the core remains solid

Its Monday morning and the third weekend has bygone

Life is scarce and scattered across Magneet grounds.

The last campfire provides a home in the heat of the rising sun

Sleepless days feed a new kind of energy

A closeness to many

Sadly we are all just lonely passengers

Building an ideal home for a while

A life outside the real world

An escape from money and merchandise

A search for reality as it could be

If somebody could explain the feeling

He or she is a pure poet

For now it rests as un-described

It is a mere feeling that must be witnessed.

Not for a day, but for every day

Each second the eyes rest is a memory missed

Hard work pays for the better life

Yet there is no business here,

Only a decent living

The Experience

ImageRuigoord, the cultural harbour of Amsterdam. Truly a magical place where individuals are overwhelmed by the urge to be creative. The purity of the mind becomes irresistible, and so once you set foot on this land of art, it seems as if the world around you disappears.  The Ruigoord Church (used for the widest possible range of musical events) is a landmark of this off the grid village (Ruigoord), where we can forget our normal lives and live life as an entirely different persona.

On the 23rd of June, 2012 the race for survival had been put on hold. As a thunderstorm cancels a football match, All Is One brings out the holistic in every one of us. Age and race thaws into the most incredibly flavoured Sunday. The wind whirls recklessly past the church, but the sun’s heat and the spirit of the justly built community, harmonizes everyone’s intellect.

All sorts of colourful people lend a hand in building what later can only be described as an ideal world. Painters, musicians, woodcutters, storytellers, debaters, cameramen, psychologists, and many more share their knowledge and involve others. If you would be interested in Yoga in exchange for a massage, or a guide through this well protected paradise, it can be arranged.  The day is filled with all sorts of activities in which your soul can absorb wholesomeness.

By the time the sun had set, the event changed from a do-it-yourself art room, to a mystical party arena. The cold starts to settle, but still more people are entering Ruigoord. Campfires are lit and inside the church deejays like DJ Isis control the crowd. Still, Barretijden (DJ crew outside) continues to entertain, and even when the rain comes plundering down, a last-minute party tent is set up for those loving the open-air. “Don’t forget to go home”, one of the few uncorrupted slogans out there that revealed the true reality of this event.

Did you miss All Is One Experience? Not to worry, because there are many more to come, and ideally, in decades going to such an event won’t be necessary, because the world will have become one.Image

Viewfinder from the Past

Here they are, the pictures taken in 2012, from a vintage, 1953 смена камера (Russian for Smena Camera).

Unfortunately the scanner has a way to make scanned images look even older than they truly are, and the colours are more faded than the original. Nevertheless these images do prove that old machines can still produce wicked things. Analog photography is so much more challenging than the digital world. There are limited picture that can be taken each role, and developing them is expensive. Still the results are much more satisfying than when a luxurious, automatic, he does it himself camera is used. (Of course this is an attempt to make the images uncovered below look more precious, because the digital age rocks as well!)

Please do jump into a vintage store sometimes and have a look around, who knows you might find your own time machine! Besides, if you do not know it works? Google will know!

A period between acts of a theatre performance. If life truly were theatre, the state of being intermitted would be paradoxical to that of a theatre. One may concern them with the significance of an intermission as it disrupts the daily patterns merely to entertain, or it or merely to put a halt on entertainment

Each subject, matter, job or performance will find their own excuse to interrupt the flow of pattern, if it is for a pee break or for the lust of a cigarette. Would it be possible to live without these moments? This blog certainly can’t resist! So enjoy this interval between Lapland stories and amateur photography, and enjoy the work of Kanga Valls. A Spanish choreographer dancing and playing with imagery.

Even though the spoken language is Spanish and the white subtitles are merging with the white background there is no need to panic. It is all about the dance, and that my friend…is amazing!
